Field Crew
40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
May through October*
Starting at $17/hr. more depending on experience

We are looking for full time employees to join our field crew for the 2025 season. This position will help with all aspects of the farm, but mostly with harvest, field work, and in the “wash-pack” room. Our farm grows a wide variety of organic crops for wholesale and direct market sales so there is a variety of work to be done and every day is a little different. This position requires the ability to work quickly and efficiently in all weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail. Reliability and a positive attitude towards both the work and the people around you are key to continuing our strong workplace culture. For people new to farming and eager to learn we are always willing to take the time to explain why we are doing things a certain way and there are opportunities for growth in both skills and responsibility for experienced employees who take initiative and express interest in particular aspects of the farm. We are a young farm growing rapidly so there is opportunity for someone with interest in organic farming to grow with the farm.
Responsibilities:

Harvesting, planting, weeding, washing, and packing organic vegetables individually and as part of a small team.

Qualifications:

Reliable and able to show up on time, ready to work

Farm experience preferred but not required

Able to work outside in all weather conditions

Able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet and knees for long periods of time

Able to work effectively both in a team setting with different personalities and independently as required.

Able to complete work in a timely manner with great attention to detail

Regular schedule. 40 hour week, monday-friday, 8 hour day, 8am-4pm with 30 min. paid lunch

Field Crew Leader
40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
April through October*
Starting at $19/hour
​
This position will help with day-to-day harvest and crop maintenance tasks, work closely with farm owners to set daily objectives, and lead a crew of 2-4 people to ensure critical tasks are accomplished in an efficient manner when farm owners are called to other needs on the farm. As well as strong experience with commercial vegetable production the most important qualifications for this role are the ability to communicate effectively with both the crew and farm owners, a positive attitude towards the work, the ability to lead through example, and finally patience and attention to detail to help newer crew members meet goals and expectations. A good field leader will raise the productivity of the entire crew while maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:

Lead and work directly with a 2–4 person crew to accomplish tasks such as harvesting, planting, weeding, washing, and packing organic vegetables.

Work with farm owners to determine daily objectives and expectations.

Communicate with crew members and farm owners effectively and respectfully.

Help train new employees on farm tasks.

Production farm experience is required. Should be familiar with most farm tasks and be willing to adapt to our farm’s way of doing things.
